Yes, the "orbits" of these two sections of society don't come anywhere near each other except for the product; I wanted to illustrate that.

Sad and touching story narrated beautifully..............how sad  the innocent kids have to work in such conditions...............I feel mainly their parents are responsible to put them  into such situation..................However if  annalysie , we will find  that  it is a vicious circle.........poverty.............over population..........illiteracy......unemployment....again povetry....Sincere efforts  need to be done by govt to breake this  vicious circle.....Providing free education  to them can be a good start...........yash

dear lakshmi,
a very sensitive and sensible piece, though I would not just blame the p3 set, nearly all of us ,in some way or the other end up participating in this exploitation,at times knowingly and at others knowingly.
The bai who asks for us to employ her young daughter as an apprentice,or the poor girl from the paternal/maternal village etc.
It is a very complex issue that not only requires a social change but also more humane face to development. When i see the gangs of scrawny rag pickers my heart goes out to them, but,I move on ,so you know I too am party to the blood stains.
thanks for a thought provoking write that forces introspection.. like a mirror for our souls
